Strong writer with experience in developing a variety of communications for senior executives of leading global financial services firm. Strategic thinker who is versatile in conceptualizing and executing high-impact communications
Responsibilities: ? Identify, propose, write and edit a broad variety of executive-level communications for internal and external audiences globally, including: 1. Speeches, talking points, op-eds, letters, etc. 2. Management/organizational memorandums 3. Client communications 4. Miscellaneous, employee-related news, notifications and information
? Provide advice and guidance to management and communications stakeholders to identify/develop key messages, appropriate tone, target audiences and suitable communications channels
? Work closely with senior executives across the organization to ensure consistent messaging among the leadership team; facilitate the sharing of information/speeches/content
? Champion a client-centric approach to communications that speaks to the needs and perspective of the target audience
? Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with communications, business and legal partners
Requirements:
-Proven speechwriter w/ experience supporting senior executives within the financial services industry
-Excellent copywriter across a range of styles, from conceptual to journalistic.
-Ability to understand technical aspects of products/business strategies to create clear, compelling communications
-Autonomous self-starter with sound judgment regarding effective communications strategies and when to seek guidance and management support
-Strong interpersonal and counseling skills and ability to work with individuals of all professional levels and diverse experience
-Well-versed in a range of communications channels
-Highly flexible and comfortable working with ambiguity, frequently changing timeframes and short deadlines
-Detail-oriented, responsible, committed to success, collaborative and comfortable with change
Education/Other Qualifications:
-5-10 years or more of communications experience within financial services
-General understanding of brokerage business
-Bachelor degree in marketing, mass communications or journalism or equivalent professional work experience with demonstrated success.
-2 writing samples required and on-site speech writing and editing test will be given.
