System Administrator The Systems Administrator will implement and support local area network LAN hardware and software. Responsibilities include:
loading software, providing network support for servers and monitoring system and network performance
analyze workflows and procedures to recommend operational support tools and technologies to satisfy customer needs
analyze performance problems and recommends solutions to enhance functionality, reliability and/or usability
Required Knowledge:
Strong Unix skills. J2EE, Tomcat server, Apache server, Unix/Linux environment, Red Hat O/S, load balancing, CMS, nagios, cacti, Zabbix, general open source tools.
Experience in setting up DRPs and High availability environments.
Windows servers
Required Skills/Abilities:
24/7 availability, customer oriented, perform under pressure, willing to carry a pager cell phone.
Experience in monitoring and alerting tools
Flexible and work well under pressure.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Solid Unix/ Linux experience as system administrator 1-3 years
Windows Sys Admin is an asset.
