Strategic Pricing Analyst
The Strategic Pricing Analyst is responsible for mining and analyzing sales data related to marketing divisions, price lists, customer groups, discounts, margins, and operating income, etc. The Analyst will develop the initial analysis or model and also actively participate in the iterative process of adjusting pricing proposals. This will be accomplished by utilizing Stryker's databases, third-party data, and working with other internal teams such as National Accounts, Sales, Marketing, and other teams within Finance.
Qualifications/Work Experience
• 2-4 years of finanical planning, reporting, and analysis experience. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills; Oracle ERP and Cognos skills are a plus
• Item Master Validation - Validate the critical item master data points during the item creation process to ensure proper product alignment. • Sales/Discounts/Margins Data Mining - Mine historical sales and other relevant data points to assist in the development of impact analyses and responses to RFPs; also analyze discount and profitability trends by business unit & product. • Pricing Assessment Guide (PAG) - Support the regular maintenance of the master data and design of the PAG. o Competitive Cross-Reference Analysis - Build analyses for competitive product cross-references using Microsoft Excel and Access by leveraging (i) sales and marketing input and (ii) third party competitive list price data. o Strategic Pricing Website - Assist in updating all material relating to the website. o Ad-Hoc Requests - Such as price quotes and RFP responses.
Education and/or Special Training
Undergraduate degree required. Advanced degree is a plus.
