VP - Licensing / Partnerships - Biotech / Pharma
Our client, a prestigious international Biotechnology firm, is seeking to hire a VP Licensing / Strategic Partnerships to join their business development team in NYC.
Position Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate and pursue strategic alliance/licensing opportunities: primarily out-licensing/partnering for the Company’s products to Big Pharma or Big Bio and secondarily in-licensing products or technologies develop and execute strategic alliance strategy
Manage NPV analysis on each product pipeline candidate (clinical and preclinical)
Manage business development input on the TPP for each product pipeline candidate (clinical and preclinical)
Manage prospective TPP and NPV analyses to evaluate potential new product candidates for firm's pipeline - Portfolio Evaluation and Optimization
Point person to handle initial inquiries regarding strategic partnering opportunities (external and internal)
Develop a dynamic pharma-economic model for pricing/reimbursement analysis
Prepare sales and marketing plans including commercialization pre-launch strategy for late stage products (un-partnered & partnered)
Responsibility for alliance relationship management post major partnering deal
Prepare presentation and marketing materials for professional partnering meetings, seminars, and conferences
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree; MBA Finance required
M.D., PhD or MS Biology required
Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology transactional experience executing strategic partnering opportunities, product NPV modeling, product market analysis – primarily out-licensing to Big Pharma or Big Bio; secondarily in-licensing deals
Thorough understanding of the processes of due diligence (both scientific and business), asset valuation, and product portfolio management
Extensive contacts in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology community relevant to the partnering of biologic products
Must be exceptionally bright, commercially savvy, with a strong scientific or medical foundation plus quantitative and analytical skills
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
