Overview:
The Mobile Design Manager is responsible for solving both retail and marketing challenges through fresh creative ideas that supports content and functionality for mobile applications.
Key Accountabilities:
Attend vendor meetings.
Work closely with merchandising/marketing peers and stay current with market trends to understand both the internal business strategy as well as external competitive landscape.
Produce industry leading, user-friendly mobile shopping and other applications for .
Translate said knowledge into a creative strategy that furthers company objectives.
Oversee a team of designers and take an active role in leading conceptualization sessions with team members, while also offering art direction. Direction will not be limited to aesthetics, but will also include web usability, architecture, and functionality.
Cultivate and manage relationships with store partners, outside vendors.
Skills Summary:
B.A/B.F.A in Graphic Design, Art or related field or comparable work experience.
5-7 years of experience in graphic design/art direction, with an emphasis in retail.
Prior mobile application design experience.
Mastery of mobile user interface design.
Experience designing for a major brand.
Experience with User Interface best practices.
Proficiency in PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash and InDesign on the Macintosh platform.
Excellent communication & organizational skills, thorough attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Must be an assertive, forward-thinking designer who can not only tackle assigned challenges, but can identify new opportunities for the business.
