Position Description:

Position Summary:

Owns all the ETLs for the Enterprise Business Intelligence platform. Leads the ETL (Informatica, Goldengate) technical architecture including the physical components and their functionality. Designs, implements and supports ETL processes. . Has broad knowledge of data sources, data integration and data flow. Overseas ETL design/development team engaged in populating Warehouse, data marts and staging areas for the BI platform which is comprised of Oracle, SQL Server and Teradata systems. Meets with users to determine requirements for data transformation, data quality validation and cleansing. Designs and writes complex logic required to extract, transform, clean and move data so it can be loaded into the BI platform. Evaluates, selects, tests and maximizes hardware and software products for the ETL environment. Relies on project management experience to plan and accomplish goals. Mentors staff. A high degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage ETL development lifecycle and operations in Informatica Powercenter and Goldengate environments
* Document processes and guide team through development lifecycle process
* Implement best practices in ETL development and promote operational excellence.
* Work with business analysts and Data Architect to define data transformation rules
* Manage a team of highly skilled ETL designers/developers

Minimum Qualifications:
* At least eight (8) years of experience working with ETL Tools and Data Warehousing technologies
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related course of study required
Requirements and General Skills:

* Superior writing and communication skills
* Ability to handle several major projects simultaneously
* Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and follow up on unfinished business
* Able to inspire and lead a team of highly skilled professionals

Technical Skills:

* 8-10 years Business Intelligence / EDW experience
* 6-8 years hands on development/design experience with Informatica Powercenter ETL.
* Experience in real-time ETL with Informatica and/or Goldengate
* 2-4 years of technical lead as an ETL architect or similar role
* Excellent SQL skills required; Hands on experience in optimizing and performance tuning
* Experience in large data sets is a must.
* Experience in Informatica administration is plus
* Experience in a reporting tool such as Cognos is a plus.
* Knowledge of data lineage concepts/technical metadata is a plus
