This position assists in all processes pertaining to for licensing of game action footage. Responds to requests from Marketing Partners, Teams, Regional Sports Networks, International Partners, Television Programs, Motion Pictures, Museums, Philanthropic Organizations, and other entities.
Major Responsibilities:
Assists in the negotiation of legal and financial terms of license agreements with clients. Coordinate processes and communication internally and externally with motion picture and television production companies' licensing requests. Collaborate with internal departments to address requirements pertaining to various League related programming. Research, negotiate and license third party stock footage for use within Entertainment Original Programming Television Productions, and in-arena productions. Liaise with production staff relating to the timing and execution of all footage requests. Member of legal review clearance team for productions which includes viewing rough cuts and providing clearance feedback prior to the airing of programs. Respond to large volume of email requests, internal and external. Maintain filing system.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Experience in the licensing decision making process as it pertains to rights, company policy and other criteria. Ability to work independently and proactively. Ability to work on multiple projects and in a challenging and fast paced environment.
Experience Needed
A minimum of 3-5 years experience working for a media/entertainment company with direct experience in the licensing, business affairs and production areas preferred.
Educational Background Required
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related discipline required
