Standard Parking – a fast-paced dynamic parking company - is seeking candidates for an Operational Management Trainee opportunity (internally referred to as Assistant Facility Manager). The ideal candidate will be immersed in a fast track training program with the goal of the position evolving into a full facility management position within 3-6 months. Salary will be adjusted commensurate with the scope of management position offered after training is completed.
Management Trainees are responsible for assisting in the operational management of a parking facility. The candidate will be in charge of ensuring that the facility is being operated within contractual guidelines, fostering good client and customer relations and promoting a professional image and approach to the business
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Participate in programs to improve client and customer satisfaction · Engage in the development of property level financial and operational goals · Assist in the management of day-to-day activities of the assigned locations including supervising the day/evening cashiers, ensuring appropriate customer interaction and supervising the completion of all evening closing reports. · Assist with management duties including: processing bank deposits, scheduling staff, supervising valet attendants, preparing month-end reports, auditing daily cashier shift reports, monitoring of electronic payroll processing system, hiring and training of valet staff, reviewing of damage claims, disbursing petty cash and preparation of the annual budget · Courteously assist Customers by answering any questions they may have. · Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager · Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager. · Assist with facility maintenance · Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the garage in order to assist customers · Perform other necessary functions as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Education: College Degree preferred · Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written) · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) · Desire a minimum of 6 months of Customer Service experience · Must be proactive with strong personal drive and proven customer service skills and must be willing to lead by example · Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable DMV record · Must be willing to work a flexible schedule · May be required to stand for 8 hour shifts while managing employees
